Regular Show: Saying Goodbye

Regular Show premiered on September 6, 2010. It was my last day of summer vacation and I'd be starting the sixth grade the next day. I'd been seeing countless promos and spots on for the show on Cartoon Network for past few weeks and couldn't wait to watch it. Mainly because it was a new show and for most of you who have been here before know or have gotten the jist that I've been watching Cartoon Network religiously since 2004, and if there was a new show on the network, you'd better believe I'd be watching it. The previous day, I was visiting some family in New York and  my cousin Ryan and I were using my Aunt's computer. We were both excited for Regular Show to premiere and spent the next hour watching the pilot over and over again on the Cartoon Network website. Aside from it being funny, there was something about Regular Show that intrigued me, but I didn't know what it was. Flash forward to next day. At 7:59, I run downstairs to my basement, turn on the TV and watched the latest episode of Adventure Time, and right after that at 8:15, Regular Show premiered with "The Power". After watching "The Power", well, 10-year-old me didn't know what think. While I loved the episode,  I was in complete and utter shock with some of the language used. Mordecai and Rigby's various lines of dialogue like "How in the H are we gonna fix this S?", "THE $40 YOU TWO CONNED OUT OF ME WITH THAT STUPID KEYBOARD CRAP", "Don't look at our crotches while we synchronize our watches!", and most famously "But he's gonna be pissed!" sent me into shock and confusion. I kept on thinking "Oh man! Did Rigby just say pissed? They can say that Cartoon Network?". I thought it was the biggest deal in the world since, you know, I was 10 and thought "pissed" and "crap" were swears. Going to school that week, it seemed like everyone who saw the show's premiere that night had the same reaction and couldn't get past it. On the way Math, me, along with co-founder Benny and a friend ours was talking to us about it. "Did you guys see Regular Show on Monday? Rigby said "But he's gonna be pissed!", While watching the first season throughout it's initial airing, Regular Show continued to shock me with each and every episode. I kept thinking "Wow! How are they getting away with all of this on Cartoon Network! This show should be on Adult Swim or MTV or something!" (Oh man, if you guys thought my reaction to Regular Show was overtop, you've should seen my reaction to watching Quintel's second short film "2 In The AM PM), and that was one of the primary reasons I liked the show. I liked how it kept pushing the envelope each and every episode with the humor. It gave the audience something much different than what the other shows on the network at the time was offering.

Regular Show quickly became my new favorite show, as well as most of our staff's favorite show. We were constantly quoting lines from the show and using the catchphrases in our everyday conversations (we still do this day). I had the entire dialogue of "The Power" memorized and constantly do the episode out loud in all of the character's voices. We liked the show so much that we started writing our episodes of the show. One of them we even mailed in to Cartoon Network Studios. It was called "Mordecai Meets His Match". Looking back on it now, it was so awful but we were super proud of it at time and we were super excited that we were actually mailing something to Cartoon Network. Obviously, our episode was never taken into consideration (which I don't blame them for, it was episode that a group of sixth graders wrote) but "Yes Dude Yes" actually ended up being pretty similar to what we wrote for "Mordecai Meets His Match", so who knows? Maybe they did. I liked Regular Show so much that I remember completely geeking out when I reply on a comment from J.G. Quintel on deviantART when I used to be a active user on the site. I liked the show so much that blog was pretty much semi-dedicated to the show. As we grew older and transitioned from Middle School to High School we found ourselves relating to the characters so much more as the show progressed (Believe me, our very own Christian Jusino to this day continues to pull "Mordecai's") and finding ourselves in similar situations. Well, you know, without all the weirdness of course.

Flash forward to the present. It's 2017. I'm 17 now and closing in on the second semester of my senior year of High School. While most of haven't been able to keep up with show for a variety of reasons, Regular Show has still remained as my favorite show. Over the summer while the whole fiasco of what was going on with the show was going on, I had a feeling it was going to wrap up soon. It didn't want that be case, as many of you also didn't want that to be case. Losing your favorite show that you've grown up with is one of the worst feelings you can get. But by the time October rolled around and it was officially announced that the show was ending after Season 8, I was ready to accept it. I figured "Well, all good things must come to an end at some point. And there's no better time than to end it now". I got start Middle School with the show, and now I get to end High School with it (even though graduation's not for another 5 months), and that sounded fine to me.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Regular Show. It's one the shows that brought CN out of the dark ages, helped the network mature a little with some of the shows that followed it, introduced me to so much 80's and 90's music that I ended up loving, and gave me characters I could relate and grow with. I mean, I'd never thought I'd relate so much to a talking 6 foot Blue Jay and a talking Racoon, but I guess there's a first for everything. I personally want to thank J.G. Quintel and rest of the show's amazing cast and crew for providing us with such an amazing show. I hope you all stick around at CN. The network use some more good shows from talented people such as yourselves. But regardless, I wish you all nothing but the best on your future endeavors. Thank you so much for Regular Show. Thank you for my favorite show.

Justice League Action: First Trailer and Thoughts (SDCC2016)

The trailer for the upcoming Justice League series Justice League Action was unrelieved during the show's panel! This is first Justice League Show since Justice League Unlimited. A lot people are very skeptical about this show due to it's animation style and the possibility it could be a carbon copy of Teen Titans Go! instead of being something of it's own. After watching the trailer, I think the show looks very promising with a lot of potential. I like the animation style, it reminds me a lot of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I have additional vast amount of characters we haven't seen on TV in awhile like the Atom, Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, etc. Kevin Conroy is back as Batman and Mark Hamill back as The Joker (stoked to see The Killing Joke on Monday), and has a nice balance of humor and action. Overall, Justice League Action appears to be Justice League Unlimited meets Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I'm definitely looking forward to this series. Regular Show Season 7 Finale Tonight @ 7:30

Wow it's been awhile since one of these posts. Anyway the Regular Show Season 7 finale is tonight and it's a half-hour special! This episode is called "Rigby's Graduation Day Special", the conclusion to this season's storyline of Rigby going to to High School to get his diploma. This episode is suppose to change the course of the entire series. I'll be writing a catch up storyline post later on. Make sure you tune in tonight at 7:30!

Want a Young Justice Revival? Here's What You Have To Do

We all miss Young Justice. It was a beautifully animated show with compelling storylines, great voice acting, direction, writing, you name it. Unfortunately, it was cancelled back in 2013 due to it's toy line not selling well enough (which is the problem with action cartoons these days. If the toy line doesn't sell well or you can't make a toy line, the show's plug is pulled. This is what happened with Sym-Bionic Titan).  This obviously didn't sit well with fans. Multiples times this year and last year #BringBackYJ or other hashtags about the show have managed to the reach the top of the trends on both Facebook and Twitter. Former showrunner Greg Weisman (who also worked on The Spectacular Spider-Man and Star Wars: Rebels) says there's still hope for a third season of the show to become a reality. In order to make this happen, here's what you gotta do according to Weisman.

1. KEEP THE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS GOING

The social media campaigns for the show such as #KeepBingingYT or #BringBackYoungJustice have been working. These hashtags often lead to the show becoming to top trend on Facebook and Twitter. We need to keep this up. The more people see the message, the more support the show will have.

2.  IF YOU HAVE NETFLIX, BINGE WATCH THE SHIT OUT OF THE SHOW

Every view counts. Netflix has basically become a subscription based TV network with the increasing about a original shows and movies coming to the service. It has become a place where cancelled TV shows have a shot at revivals. So if you have Netflix, binge watch the shit out of the show. If the show get's stellar ratings on Netflix, this will attract the attention of the Netflix executives and Warner.

3. BUY THE DVD'S AND BLU-RAYS.

This also a great method of support for the show. If the show has very strong DVD and Blu-Ray sales, this could peak the interest of Warner Bros. to give us more Young Justice. And obviously, buy new copies of the DVD's and Blu-Rays. Warner's not getting any money if you're buying them used.

4. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE BUYING YOUR SHOWS DIGITALLY, BUY THE SHOW ON DIGITAL OUTLETS.

If you like getting your TV show's digitally, buy the show on iTunes, Amazon, Google, or any other digital outlet the show is available for purchase on and binge watch them there. This will have the same effect as buying the DVD's and Blu-Ray's.

5. BUY THE TIE-IN COMICS

While the show was running, there was also a tie-in comic book series that ran along with the show. The series was cancelled after show was cancelled. What you can do is the buy the comics (the comics canon to show, not any other Young Justice series) on comixology or and other digital outlet where the comics are sold. The sales of the tie-in comics will attract the attention of DC, letting them know we want more Young Justice.

According to Weisman, conversations about the show seem to be happening at Warner, and the fact that they're even talking about the show means that these methods are working. The crew who worked on the show are willing to come back and even have a third season all planned out. So if you want Young Justice revived, do one or more of the methods listed above. It's all up to us.

Revivals: What Works and What Dosen't

When it comes to revivals, there's always a major sense of hypocrisy. You have people who quickly write off new animated shows are terrible and keep begging and making petitions to Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon to bring back all their old shows, instead of letting the modern audience watch what currently appeals to them. People complaining how "Cartoon Network, Nick, and Disney are such trash now. I miss shows like [INSERT A CARTOON FROM THE EARLY TO MID 2000'S HERE]". The people who are butthurt that Disney Channel, CN, and Nick aren't airing nothing but reruns of all their old shows, which is what Discovery Kids did for while before re-branding into The Hub. I hear this all the time at school. It's a lot worse on Internet though. When some sort of revival does happen, people attack what they've been begging for. Letting their nostalgia get the best of them and attacking the revival because it's either not how they remember the original run of the show it or how it's updated for the modern audience. A lot kids my age and older now have really gotten into this nostalgic rut, and are requesting more than ever to see the shows they grew up with, and the networks are actually starting to listen.

Many channels are actually starting to get into the whole nostalgia craze right now, especially Nick. Even though Nick has had The 90's Are All That for quite sometime, they recently revamped the block into an additional network called The Splat. Remember when The N (Now Teen Nick) and Noggin (Now Nick Junior) used the share the same channel? Nick has now re-branded The 90's Are All That is it's own block-channel as The Splat, which follows the exact same format that The 90's Are All That did, but with less repetition of certain shows. The Splat names come from the fact that a lot of people (including me) miss the old Splat logo Nick used have before the 2009 re-brand.

Cartoon Network has also done this. This was pretty why Boomerang was created. To house classic cartoons and later on old Cartoon Network shows. Boomerang still does this but since it's 2015 re-brand, they're trying to focus on some new content and become an established network that's second banana to CN. CN did have a nostalgia block in the recent years. Back in 2012, they revived Cartoon Planet, where aired a variety of old Cartoon Network shows (but that format latter on became corrupt when they started to add newer shows to block). Disney Channel (which at this point, I've completely stopped watching since Phineas and Ferb ended, moved the rest of their animated shows to Disney XD, and all their good live action shows ended) currently has a block called Disney Replay, airing a bunch of their old shows on Wednesday nights/Thursday mornings.

But now, some of our cries to actually revive old shows make new episodes of them have been answered. Nick, once again the trying to be the front runner in this announced that they were going start reviving a plethora of their old shows. Not too long ago they announced a new Hey Arnold! TV movie, and a whole Nicktoons theatrical film. Moviepilot also announced that Nick was also going to revive As Told By Ginger, but the validity of that is up for debate.

CN is also starting to do the same. Now we've known about The PowerPuff Girls revival for quite sometime now, and minor stir of controversy it caused when they announced that the original cast wasn't coming back. CN also announced they're rebooting Ben 10, which I'm not sure how that's gonna go down. But the biggest thing was Adult Swim announced Samurai Jack's return and that Genndy Tartakovsky had returned to CN, which caused massive excitement

While all these revivals are great, 90's and early 2000's kids (is that a term yet?) need to remember that, these revivals (the Nick ones) aren't just for them, but more for the modern targeted audience, as Chris Viscardi stated. Which is why we need to make sure we don't let our nostalgia get the best of us, as it may stop us from enjoying these revivals. We might see as it huge disappointment if he get our exceptions for these new revivals, and then end up bashing the very thing we asked for.

Another thing I want to get into is what shows actually need a revival. On Facebook over the past year, I've seen petitions from people to revive shows like Ed Edd n Eddy or Spider-Man: The Animated Series (The 90's Spider-Man cartoon) to name a few. The thing is, in my opinion, neither of the shows need to be brought back, along with a variety of other old shows with perfectly wrapped up endings.

 

Whoa Whoa Whoa! Calm down! Here me out. As much as I'd love to see new adventures of The Ed's, there'd be no point. The movie wrapped up the show perfectly. A revival wouldn't make any sense. At the end of Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show, the Ed's finally achieve everything they worked for throughout the entire series. They finally get Jawbreakers, they're finally in with the rest of the cul-de-sac kids, and we finally see Eddy's brother. The only unanswered question show leaves is that we never got to see Double D with out his hat uncensored. Other than that, a revival isn't needed. Why would the Ed's try to scam their new friends? They wouldn't need to anymore. The only way an Ed Edd n Eddy revival would work is if we got a spin-off of Jonny exacting his revenge on the cul-de-sac now that he's the neighborhood punching bag. Other than that, Ed Edd n Eddy doesn't need a revival.

As nice as an Ed Edd n Eddy revival would be, it doesn't need one.

Same goes for Spider-Man: The Animated Series, which I'm surprised that people are petitioning to bring that show back. I loved Spider-Man: The Animated Series as much as the next guy but that show doesn't need to be brought back either. Mainly because it sounds ridiculous. The show's been off the air for almost 20 years and there's been four Spidey shows since that SMTAS ended. This show doesn't need to brought back.

This show was fantastic! And despite the fact we never found the real Mary Jane, this show doesn't need to brought back.

There's a variety of shows were a revival would make sense. A Hey Arnold! revival makes senses because the show leaves a variety of unanswered questions, which this new movie aims to answer. A revival of the original Teen Titans series would make sense, as that show also leaves unanswered questions. In the last episode "Things Change", we never learn is that girl actually is Terra, or just simply a girl who looks likes her. Character Designer Derrick Wyatt stated that if a Season 6 were to made, it would be about the Titans setting up international towers and fighting the monster from the Season 5 finale. An OG Teen Titans revival would make sense. Along with a similar show, Young Justice, which was cancelled abruptly. A Young Justice revival would make sense. The problem with that is a doubt CN would revive both the original Teen Titans and Young Justice, so fans would have to vote on that.

And now for my favorite revival that would make sense, Sym- Bionic Titan. Sym- Bionic Titan is probably one of the best shows CN brought to the table during their dark ages. It was a perfect mix of John Hughes high school drama and giant robot battles. The writing was great, the story line was great, the animation was great, the voice acting was great, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. Then it got cancelled for the most bullshit reason. They couldn't make a toy line off of it, which they totally could've. The could've made figures of Titan, Lance's Manus armor, Illana's armor, and of Octus. I don't know what Stu Synder was on when he pulled the plug on Titan. Sym-Bionic Titan, like the previous shows I've mentioned, ends in a complete cliffhanger. A New Beginning clearly isn't a series finale, it was season finale, as there were more episodes of the show written. There are so many unanswered questions I and many others want answers too. Who revived Octus (The popular rumor is that Lance's father survived going into his portal and is a member of G3)?  Is King even still alive at this point? Are Newton and Kimmy gonna to get back together (I think I might be the only one who wants an answer to that)? She was about to cry when she got that text from Newton. Are Lance, Illana, and Octus ever gonna get back to Galauna? Are the Mutradi going full out invade earth and blow the three's cover? We may never know. Titan NEEDS a revival. That could happen now that Genndy Tartakovsky's back at CN. Tara Strong, the voice of Illana also teased back in October about a possible return for Titan. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!! Alright, I've rambled about Titan for too long. 

Alright one last time. PLEASE A TITAN REVIVAL IS HAPPENING!!!! Alright, I'm done for real this time.

Overall, there's shows where a revival would be useful, and there's shows that don't need revivals just because you miss your favorite shows from your childhood, and you don't like what your old favorite network is currently airing. However, this whole nostalgia/revival phase the networks could a good thing in the end. You might end up liking the revival or continuation just as much as you liked the original series. Like I said earlier, when sort of things happen, we let our nostalgia get the best of us and shoot our exceptions up unreasonably high, which is why we could up thinking the revival is such disappointment in the end (unless it's just flat-out awful in content). I think we it comes to these upcoming revival, we should keep an open mind, not let our nostalgia get the best of us, and enjoy that show. And if that doesn't work out, I guess we could just go back to hypocritically complaining.

Total Drama: Pahkitew Island Finale Tonight!

Tonight's the finale of Season 5 part 2 of Total Drama. Pahkitew Island includes a new cast, and a new location (after Camp Wawanakwa sank at the end of Total Drama All Star). If you missed this season like I did, Cartoon Network is airing a catch up marathon "The Total Drama Summer Showdown" now leading up to the finale tonight! Check it out!

Christina Miller is The New President Of Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network fans rejoiced when Stuart Snyder (the man who sent CN to the dark ages) was removed as President of Cartoon Network after seven years back in February. But Turner didn't announce who would take Snyder's place right away. For the past few months, I've been wounding who's going to be the president at CN (mainly who's been running CN since Snyder left) . Today is the day we find out. Through several sources, it has been announced that Christina Miller is the new president of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Boomerang.

Fans. I think it's safe to say that the dark ages of Cartoon Network are over. Miller should be able to bring Cartoon Network out of Snyder's pit. But here's some requests to Miller about the network

1. Please, NO MORE LIVE ACTION SHOWS. 

I think I speak for everybody here. Snyder sent Cartoon Network down the drain after he unleashed the train wreck CN Real on us in 2009. After the blocks cancellation, Snyder kept on hitting us with more live action shows. This is CARTOON Network. Let's kept it cartoons.

2. Bring Back Cartoon Planet

The revival of Cartoon Planet was awesome. It gave a chance to watch old CN shows on the main network again. But soon, it started going down after the network added more of their more recent ended shows on the block. The block then ended and it's now on Boomerang, but all of Brak and Zorak's sketches are cut. Please bring back Cartoon Planet in it's original revival format, with only Classic CN shows being played, and with Brak and Zorak's sketches

3. Update the Look of the Network

The "Check It" look is getting old. I think with a new president, the network should get a new look. I would really hope for a revival of the CN City look (my thoughts on that is here), updated with characters of the 2010+ shows (Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, etc.). When I first saw The Amazing World of Gumball, and thought about the background animation, I kept on thinking about the CN City look. But that's just my thoughts. A new look would be great anyway. I also like the new slogan of the network "Are you CN what where sayin'?"

4. Bring Back Anime to the Main Network

Anime pretty much left Cartoon Network after Toonami's CN run ended, most of which is now on Adult Swim or other networks. Pokémon is still a great show after all these years, but Anime fans need more than just that. In past year or two, we see maybe 1 or 2 new anime shows pop on the main network, but then they're shown really early in the morning, and end quickly. The only anime shows currently on CN is Pokémon and Tenkai Knights. Adding more anime shows to the network in a new block would be excellent. 

5. Continue Clarence without Skyler Page 

I'm sure you've all heard the controversy that's been surrounding Clarence creator Skyler Page in the past few weeks. The show doesn't deserve to be cancelled over his actions. The talented crew on Clarence can keep the show going. If Nickelodeon was able to do it with Ren & Stimpy (even though the post-John K. episodes weren't as good as the originals, and don't even get me started about Adult Party Cartoon) then Cartoon Network can certainly do it with Clarence.

6. Start Refereeing Original Shows as Cartoon Cartoons Again

One thing I really miss from the old CN is Cartoon Cartoons. I think the 2010+ and the upcoming original shows should be called "Cartoon Cartoons". That would give the classic feel to CN back. 

7. Release Season Sets and/or Complete Series of Old Original Cartoon Network Shows 

Cartoon Network started to release season sets of their old shows in 2009 under the "Cartoon Network Hall Of Fame" moniker, with their releases including the first seasons of Courage The Cowardly Dog , Dexter's Laboratory and Johnny Bravo. We also got the complete series set of The Powerpuff Girls. After that,  no old CN shows have gotten released beyond that (except for Ed Edd n Eddy, Samurai Jack, Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, Billy and Mandy, and Ben 10. Sorry if I forgot any other shows. Also these shows (and The Powerpuff Girls Complete Series box set) were released before Cartoon Network Hall Of Fame came along). I think more DVDs sets of old Cartoon Network shows would definitely be awesome. I would love to see season and/or complete series sets of Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partners A Monkey, Sym-Bionic Titan, Chowder etc. UPDATE: Cartoon Network Hall Of Fame is actually still going on. The second season of Courage The Cowardly Dog will be released on October 4th according to TVShowsonDVD.com

New Regular Show tonight! We get another half-hour special. And another Halloween special! In "Terror Tales of the Park II", on the way to a Halloween party, the guys tell scary stories to pass time. Tune in tonight @ 8:00 to see!

Dragons: Riders of Berk Sneak Peak Tonight @ 7:30!

Hey everyone! The sneak peek of the new show "Dragons: Riders of Berk"(based off of the film "How To Train Your Dragon") airs tonight @ 7:30 on Cartoon Network with an hour long episode! This is DreamWork's first series for Cartoon Network (like how Adventure Time is Frederator's first show for CN. Like Frederator , DreamWorks normally teams up with Nickelodeon, with their other shows like The Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and the upcoming show Monsters vs. Aliens). Most of the cast for the movie is returning for the series. Last October, Cartoon Network acquired the worldwide rights to a weekly animated series based off of the movie. The show was originally going to be called "Dragons: The Series" but was changed. The show will premiere on September 4. Tune in tonight for the sneak peak!

Cartoon Network New Shows 2012 & 2013

Hey everyone! Happy Fathers Day! It's schools out and summer's in. Finally! More time to do the stuff I want to do. Here's some things that going on this summer, in the fall, and in 2013 on Cartoon Network. On Cartoon Network there's apparently going to be a special called "Cartoon Network's 20th Anniversary Special" to celebrate the network's 20 years on TV. I'm not sure if this is true, but I hope it is. In the fall Cartoon Networks getting some new shows. A fourth Ben 10 series called "Ben 10: Omniverse". A show called "Scan2Go" and A Show based of of Dreamwork's movie "How To Train Your Dragon"plus  2 new live action series. One is called "Nick Cannon's Incredible Crew" a sketch comedy series which I'm kind of looking forward to because I like Nick Cannon and Adventure Time's Jeremy Shada will be in it. Also there's another one called "Team Toons" which I think will be both live action and animated. Not much is known about yet but you find out a little about at http://www.chrisplehal.com/team-toon/  And a show from singer Ne-Yo called "I Heart Tuesdays" is supposed to premiere sometime this year. In 2013 Cartoon Network gets more new shows. A New Batman show called "Beware the Batman", a sequel to 2003's Teen Titans called "Teen Titans Go!", A new Tom & Jerry show called "The Tom and Jerry Show", A new show from Lego (the TV show for Ninjago was a huge success, Cartoon Network & Lego want to expand there partnership with a new show), a show called "Grojoband" from Fresh TV (Total Drama, 6teen, and Stoked), and "PaRappa the Rapper: The Animated Series". That's lot from CN and can't wait for them.

More New Stuff Today!

Cool new stuff is on TV today. First, Cartoon Network is returning there Spring Break block. Spring Break first started in 2009, hosted by Total Drama's Chris McClain. In 2010, there CN announcer was sort of host. There wasn't a Spring Break block. But now there's on in 2012. There's no host, but it features a series of Most cards with the Casts of Regular Show & Adventure Time. Also, the Regular Show Slack Pack DVD is now on sale! Here's a card hinted the relationship between Mordecai & Margret:

 Next is the new SpongeBob @ 5pm today. It's called "Free Samples". Mr. Krabs  gives out free food, which is pretty strange because it's not in Mr. Krab's nature. Here's a picture of Plankton from the episode:

A Preview of the episode was first shown at the end of "The Chronicles of Meap". Apparently that was just a joke, but due to many fans requested it to be an episode. Dan & Swampy (Creators of the show). did the episode.

Cartoon Planet is Back/Inside Marvel Universe

Cartoon Network has brought back "Cartoon Planet"! Cartoon Planet first aired on Cartoon Network & TBS in the '90's and was taken off air in 2000. The show was hosted by Space Ghost, Brak, & Zorak. Now CN has brought it back, airing CN classics like Cow & Chicken, Ed Edd n Eddy, Dexter's Laboratory, and more! The New version is hosted by Brak & Zorak (sadly Space Ghost is not returning due to George Lowes retiring from his role as Space Ghost). Here's a the new logo:

It's pretty cool. The showed a lot of CN classic show last night. It's something we've been waiting for. Here's the first new promo from the show:

Also, tomorrow is the launch of Disney XD's new "Inside Marvel Universe" block. With the premieres of "Ultimate Spider-Man" & Season 2 of "The Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes". It's also gonna be pretty good. Check out this picture:

And also tomorrow (besides being April Fools Day!) is when all the Lego Super Heroes sets for Marvel Come out! I can't wait to buy them! So tune into Inside Marvel Universe on Sundays, and tune into the new Cartoon Planet on Fridays!

The Problem Solverz: Hamburger Cavez

Here's the first episode of The Problem Solverz Season 2. Over the series Alfe has many food obsessions. Pizza in the "Time Twister" and Tacos in "Funny Facez". And now it's Hamburgers. Normally Alfe's food obsessions normally causes problems. And it happens again in this episode. It's the Problem Solverz annual camping trip and Alfe won't go, so Horace puts him on DIET. Soon Alfe's Hamburger cravings cause trouble. A LOT OF TROUBLE. Also, there's a Regular Show reference. Also, New Problem Solverz tonight @8:30. It's called Puffy Puppiez. CHECK IT OUT!

Cartoon Network City

Back in June 14, 2004. Cartoon Network debuted their best look in their company's history. The CGI city look. The city look contains a bunch of CN characters (at that time and before that time) living in a CGI city. According to Cartoon Network Wiki, it's considered the best look of look Cartoon Network has ever had. Back in the summer of '04 or'05, Cartoon Network sent out a limited edition sample DVD of the summer line up of new shows and old favorites in National Geographic Kids. Including "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends", "Camp Lazlo", "The Life and Times of Juniper Lee", and "Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi". And I still have that DVD to this day. As some features to the DVD it includes 3 bumpers of the CN City Look. One where The Mayor (of Powerpuff Girls, and is the mayor of the city) comes out of the Candy stores and tosses his bag from the store in to the air and it flies throughout the city, a second one where Professor Utonium (also of the Powerpuff Girls) locks he's keys in his car. Ed (of Ed Edd n Eddy), Dexter (of Dexter's Laboratory) Nigel Uno (of Codename: Kids Next Door) and Mandy (of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy) appear as supporting characters. And the last gives you a tour of the city. I think Cartoon Network should have a whole show of the CN city because it's awesome. It was one of the highlights of my childhood. Here's some pictures:

I have plans to write Cartoon Network about bringing the CN city into a show because I would like to see Regular Show, Adventure Time, and the other new show in the city. Here Some bumpers from the era. More CN City Bumpers Will be posted later, Tell me what you thinks on the CN City Show idea.



Camp Lazlo: Racing Slicks/ Gone Fishin' (Sort Of)/Radio Free Edward

Here a triple feature of one of my favorite Cartoon Network shows, Camp Lazlo. A show that J.G. Quintel and Thurop Van Orman worked on before creating Regular Show and Flapjack. Created by Joe Murray (also the creator of Nick's "Rocko's Modern Life"), Camp Lazlo is about Lazlo and his friends Raj and Clam adventures as bean scouts in Camp Kidney along with other scouts. Plus Scoutmaster Lumpus (although in the last episode, it was revealed that Lumpas wasn't really their scoutmaster and was shipped off the a mental rehabilitation center) and his assistant Slinkman. In "Racing Slicks" Camp Kidney competes in a soap box derby, with Slinkman at the wheel of the Jelly Bean's entry into the race. In "Gone Fishin' (Sort Of)", Scoutmaster Lumpus tries to hook a fish in Leaky Lake, all the while trying to keep Lazlo, Raj and Clam as far away as possible. And in "Radio Free Edward", the Bean Scouts discover Camp Kidney has a radio station and decide to put on some radio shows. Edward fakes a yeti attack when his radio show does not get any listeners. The Problem Solverz Season 2

Hey everyone! I just found out that The Problem Solverz season 2 begins on August 25! The first two episodes  are called "Hamburger Cavez"and "Puffy Puppiez". Here's the season 1 finale, "Zoo Cops". The Problem Solverz have been getting more negative reviews on the Internet, and need a cool case so they can become popular again. Street artist Dork Face (and to be honest, if that's his sub-name, it's really stupid. I mean he's insulting himself!) has escaped out of Zoo prison, and now to get him back in jail, they must team up with with Zoo Cop Lidget. There more after that, but I wouldn't want to spoil the rest. Also, If you didn't know, The Problem Solverz has been moved to Thursdays @ 5:30. Probably to make room for CN's new show "Secret Mountain Fort Awesome". CHECK IT OUT!

Saturday Morning Cartoons Vol. 1/New York City

Hey everyone! I took a few days off of blogging but now I'm back! I went to New York City today. I saw so many cool stuff. I went to Times Square, I got new clothes, and a new DVD. One thing that bugs me is that people on the streets trying to you to got on tours, sometimes even following you. I bet these people have something better to do. But anyway $10  I got "Saturday Morning Cartoons Vol. 1" from this people selling DVD. It's a REAL COPY. Not a fake. It's kind of awkward talking about Saturday Morning Cartoons when it's Sunday Night. But anyway it features various Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros, MGM, plus feature like Documentaries  on shows and Saturday Moring Wake Up Calls and More! Here's the picture of the DVD:

But, I think the best part of going to New York is going to Midtown Comics. That place is AMAZING! They have Comics, Comic Collections, Graphic Novels, Manga, DVDs, and more! What a place! They have some replica's of Spider-Man, The Hulk, and more! Some famous people in Comics sometimes come their! I even saw The Amazing Spider-Man #5 (1963) in Fair condition for 18000. Amazing how much those are now when you save your comics. Now I'm keeping my comics in Good Condition 'cause their gonna be worth a lot! Here's Midtown Comics picture:

                   

So that pretty much wraps up the weekend. I can't wait to go on vacation , 'cause I need a good long vacation.
